Fairing the Stern

Well, she's not much to look at, but it's progress.  Sasha ground the paint bubbles.  The yellowish color is from the zinc chromate that we sprayed onto the white metal as we ground it clean.  On top of the chromate we spread an ample layer of thickened epoxy and left it to cure overnight.   In the morning I sanded the epoxy down until it was smooth and even with the existing layer of paint.  Once it was faired I put on a coat of white primer paint and of course found all the spots that were not faired quite right.
Today we also had a little bit of a front moving through so every hour-and-a-half we'd get a brief but heavy bit of rain.  Really frustrating.
