Baby Bertha

Invest 93L is headed our way.  A few days ago, predictions were saying it might be out first hurricane of the season to come within reach of the Virgin Islands.  Thanks to some dry air mixing into the system it looks like it will be a weak tropical storm at best.

Either way we wanted to be prepared so we started clearing the decks and splicing line to chain.  We have a spot on the hurricane chain in Hurricane Hole on St. John.  As soon as a named storm is headed our way the bay opens and we are allowed to go secure ourselves in the deep system of mangroves.

We have our lines and anchors at the ready -- but hope the storm continues to weaken as it approaches.
